Account Alerts

Setup account alerts

Within Online Banking you can setup text and email alerts. Many options for account alerts are available within Online and Mobile Banking.

Desktop setup: Access thru Online Banking "Profile & Settings" 

Mobile Banking setup: At the top of the page click on the three horizontal lines. Within the menu selection tap "Alerts". Then click on the green "Create Alert" button.

Available Account Alert Options:

  • Low balance alert
  • High balance alert
  • Direct deposit over $XX.XX has posted
  • Deposit over $XX.XX has posted
  • Card transaction greater than $XX.XX has posted
  • Check/draft greater than $XX.XX has cleared
  • Withdrawal exceeds $XX.XX
  • Insufficient funds caused overdraft protection transfer

VISA Check Card Fraud Monitoring System

Effective Monday August 8th Visa check card and ATM card holders will begin to receive text or email notifications if potential fraud is detected on your card.


Previously, notifications are made by an automated telephone call only.

If you have a valid cell phone number on file, you will receive a text notification, if not you will receive an email.
The notification will reference the following;

  • Your LMFCU card
  • List the last 4 digits of your card number
  • Information about amount and source of the suspicious transaction

You will be asked to confirm if the transaction was authorized by you by responding to the text message or email.

If you don’t have a cell phone or email address on file, please contact the office to update your contact information.  Members without a phone or email address will still be contacted by the automated telephone system.

VISA Check Card Fraud Monitoring System comes standard with all VISA check cards. Our fraud monitoring system is actively reviewing every card transaction to help detect and prevent fraudulent transactions. The notification portion of the system includes a text notification feature, an email notification feature, and a state-of-the-art automated telephone assistant to help our members review transactions and confirm recent ATM card and VISA Check Card spending activity.

If you don’t have a cell phone or email address on file, the system will call you to confirm any questionable transaction. Your phone caller ID will show the call originating from CU Security or "CARDMEMBERSEC". The system will begin the call by stating - Hello, this is Card Member Security on behalf of LM Federal Credit Union.

If you receive a notification call, please respond to answer questions regarding recent card activity. Please also be aware that our Card Member Security team that provides fraud alert management is available 24 hours per day, 7 days per week by telephone should you need assistance from a live agent.
If needed you may reach the Card Monitoring Team at 888-241-2440.

If suspicious transactions are identified as fraudulent during the phone call, calls will be transferred to Card Member Security Team to help you take the necessary precautions to protect your cards and related accounts. If the recent card activity is legitimate, members will be able to close the case with the phone attendant using their touch-tone phone.
